xjwalt666
Still doing some testing with some different options for these 38 short colts. I have sns 160's enroute but have these 158gr hollow points. I'm unsure of what oal I should load them to being hollow points. This is loaded to 1.158. I dont have any 158gr round nose to compare to right now and I want to see what you all think i should load to for length. xjwalt666
Also to add, if I go down to the cannalure it gets down to about 1.075" oal. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
ysrracer
I load 160gr Bayou RN coated bullets to 1.20. Berry's 158 FP to 1.125. Both load to the same depth due to the difference in bullet length. Anything shorter gives me a bulge ring in the case. . When I went to the cannelure I got the bulge in the case. Ill try backing it off some and get closer to 1.125. Still need to figure out powder too. Would like to use 231 because I have more of that than tite group. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
ysrracer
1.125 with a round nose may be too short. Give it a try.
