B.J. Norris
I bought an open-box silver iPod mini at Circuit City a few weeks ago. After the frist few days, the screen locked up and wouldn't respond at all. After letting the battery run down, I plugged it back into the USB and everything was good. Happened again, let the battery run down, everything was fine. Sat down at the computer this morning after having it plugged in overnight, first thing I see is "A USB device has malfunctioned." This time the screen had locked up without the backlight on, so that was the last nail ion the coffen. Took it back to the store, no questions asked, they took it back, and even knocked the brand-new blue (the color I wanted in the first place) Mini I got down to the open-box price, I expected that he would tell me I could make the difference up. If I have to buy any kind of electronics locally, Circuit City will be my first stop.
Nik Habicht
B.J., you know about restarting IPODs when they lock up, right? Mine needs resetting every few weeks, but it lives in my truck....

Nik Habicht
Hold down menu and play until it reboots. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After toggling the lock/unlock switch, hold down Menu and the Center Button until the screen grays out and you can see the apple logo appear --- at least those were the instructions for my iPod Photo..... Vlad
They should at least have the decency to display a sad Mac face when they crash. .. Or do they?
