grassy knoll
We have been using the soft plastic ones that seal up after the round has gone through them, they can be calibrated for IPSC or whatever, they do work well except for wad cutters that do tend to take a bit of material out

2alpha
Ok, details. The MGM resets easy and positively, light effort and the plates stay up. Nothing worse than having to jiggle around with the rope trying to reset the plates. The plates are easy to change. Everything is made with heavy steel and reinforced where needed. Takes two to set it up but it's trouble free once it's up. Anything else?

2alpha
BTW, I also have a Porta Target portable plate rack. It works ok on level ground and could be set up by one person if you're fairly strong but it's not in the league with the MGM.
GlockLady
Ditto on the PortaTarget portable rack. I have no range where I can leave equipment, so it was a selling point that it breaks down into pieces that I can load and unload myself. I use a waterski tow-rope to pull the plates up. The mechanism works well, and the plates are adjustable if you are not on a perfectly level surface.
