Shooting box size

I am going to make a shooting box out of 1/2 plastic pipe but I cant find dimensions for it.

3 feet by 3 feet is a good size.  If you want you could make one side of the box detachable that way you can put two of them together if you need a longer box.

FYI,

Steel Challenge use 3 x 3 boxes everywhere except on Outerlimits which uses 4 x 4 boxes.

USPSA doesn't have a regulation size but most are 3x3, barricades often have a smaller rectangle box, although I shot a big match with 1x1 shooting boxes. Kind of messes with you. Try shooting 16 rounds, moving in/out and reloading, with your feet together. Makes a simple stage somewhat of a challenge

Actually, USPSA does dictate the size of box...on their classifiers. The size you will most often run into is a 3 by 3 foot box. You need to get accustomed to turning around in one that size for the El Pres., You Snooze You Lose, etc.
