Police Pistol Combat

Recommended Posts

Anyone shoot Police Pistol Combat that would be willing to answer some of my questions?

When shooting Match 7 stage 4,  what is the standing shooting position. Is it standing with cover and support?

Is all of stage 4 shot in one 90 second course of fire? 18 shots, 2 reloads, 3 positions.

7.9 Match 7 - Stock Service Revolvers & Match 14 for Stock Service Semi-Automatic Pistols, Production Pistols and Production Duty Optic Pistols:

Stage 4: 25 yards, double action - 18 shots, one or two hands; 6 shots kneeling, from behind the barricade for cover and support; 6 shots standing left hand from behind the barricade; and 6 shots standing right hand from behind the barricade. Ninety seconds, includes reloading for subsequent 6 shot strings.

When I was shooting it a good many years ago, "behind the barricade" meant "covered and supported by the barricade."  There is a fault line.

Left hand DA at 25 yards was kind of a challenge.

All on one time, 90 seconds to shoot, reload, and move between positions.

We shoot PPC every now and then and we shoot from cover and supported.  Its a good match and helps calm down my trigger after shooing IPSC.     Besides a little revolver time helps with the soul :)
