Red_Dot
I just picked up a set of nickel mags at a great price. Love how they look but haven’t had a chance to put rounds thru them yet. i also had a set of MecGars with the matte AFC coating that wore off the contact points pretty quickly. I’m not sure it made much of a difference in total though. is there a consensus on if the nickel bodies are ACTUALLY better than the AFC coated ones? PRanta
I use only nickel coated mags. AFC is initially slicker, but wears off easily. My nickel coated mags look like a new after many years of hard use.
cbrconst
Just bought the nickel mags for Shadow 2. I think they drop easier. AND they're purty
GregJ
I've run both. Prefer the Nickle. Especially if you get caught shooting a match in a rain storm. The coated will rust up pretty quick.
Corrado_kid
I would think the nickel would be the way to go. I have mecgars but haven’t had any issues. I keep them clean and spary then down with hotshot cleaner which has a dry film lube in it which works nice to have the mags drop easier.
