FWSixgunner
Thinking of picking up a 625, probably the JM, but can someone tell me about what their throat dimensions are like these days? I shoot my own cast bullets. Don’t want want a replay of the 25-2 and its enormous throats.
Norther
My JM had tight chambers. Worked okay, but new brass loaded/unloaded considerably easier than range brass. Never measured the throats. No accuracy issues. I mostly shot FMJs though. Probably not much help.
Makicjf
Mine was it at most .451 from the factory. A .452 cast would not push through any throat. I had it reamed to .4525. The first 625 I had followed the same pattern. Both my 454 Super Redhawks are the opposite. I cast and size to .454 as a .452 falls through the throat. Hope that helps.
