Whats the questions jeff Got me a couple of tubes i want to modify and had a few "how-to" questions. Did you remove the aluminum inserts in the muzzle end? if so, i assume a heat gun to loosen up the epoxy?? Or did the earlier tubes not have them? What thread pitch rivet nuts? 10-32? What bolt on rails did you use? I assume those determined the hole spacing. I was also just curious about the history of them, how you came to make them for a certain unit. Ive seen earlier pics of ones with just a front sight pocket and some with a channel cut to slide the front sight in, no rivet nuts. I read the first ones were modified .308 tubes.
