Acsr
I am going to do 2 3/16 popple holes, my question is: does it matter where in the rifling the holes are drilled? Should I put amy angle or just straight up and down 90*?

BeerBaron
It doesn't seem to matter if you go through a land. I would go 90 degrees. Some like to go 10 degrees back to get a 'pulling forward' effect and some go 10 degrees forward to ensure blast stays off the scope. I don't think there's much difference either way. niroth81
I've just had mine done with 90 degree to the bore. Yet to test it but I have fired essentially the same gun with straight popple holes. The effect of the gun staying flat is more important to me than any minor effect of feeling less impact in the hand.
