kro77
Hello Everyone, I am still learning alot from everyone and I wanted to ask. Do long dust cover 2011 frames have to be bull barrel's or can they be bushing barrels. Technically it looks like it could be done, and with the long dust cover the normal bushing barrel seems like it may work our without front loading the weight too much. However, I am a completely new to all this so I wanted to ask the educated crew here for their throughts. Thank You - K
ScottieShootz
You can build them with a bushing. I believe Les baer sells a 1911 model with long dust cover and bushing.
kro77
But sounds like it is not a common configuration. Is it easy to get one this way.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
ScottieShootz
I'm not familiar with off the shelf 2011 ldc with bushing. However I've been told people call STI and ask for an eagle with a bull barrel. So you could probably request a bushing edge. Not sure what the wait time would be. kro77
Thanks for the help. You basically answered the question. Possible but a custom one off.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
joerenew
You can get bull or bushing barrel but like most have said they are custom or at least need to ask for them in most cases.
Racinready300ex
I have one, but I did it myself. No reason it can't be done just doesn't seem that common. Most guys want bull barrels, so that's what manufactures make.
