The first prototype I made was for my practice BB pistol. I'm not cutting up my real Tanfo yet. I will be getting these checkered in a few days and I'll let you know how they turn out. I'm still having trouble getting them checkered as of now.If you are using a checkering file on Aluminum you are going to have a tough time of it. It is very hard to keep the cuts consistent since the material is so soft.If you are using a mill for the checkering then probably the only issue I can see is holding the workpiece.
