jcc7x7
Looking for some help buying a used Tanfo to make into a CO pistol I don't want to spend the money to buy a new Stock ll or lll or a limited pro etc. I've got a couple of optics DP and FFll etc I can mill the top to fit the sight and get that done easy enough. Looking at some sites and seeing a bunch of pistols that I can get for 3-500.00 that's the range I want to spend I know they have to be DA/SA The question is which ones can you get mags and parts for if needed, and ugly doesn't matter at this point just want a CO to play with more or less. Thanks for the help in advance Neil
MemphisMechanic
Talk to Matt: http://forums.brianenos.com/index.php?/profile/4477-waktasz/ He ran a cheap EAA in IDPA for a bit that had mostly the same internals as a Stock II so you would even have the ability to dress the trigger up nice and sexy. johnbu
http://www.generalcoin.com/product.tanfoglio-witness-by-eaa-9mm-desert-tan-polymer-frame Local to me, but available nation wide. $277 new. Small frame, slight differences but 98% the same as outlined on the site. Gun, 5 mags, milling slide, Patriot Defense spring kit should be under $500. Add an afternoon polishing and it would be a good gun.
MemphisMechanic
I would have to refinish it, too. Rustoleum Precision Firearm Coatings. Just to give the finger to the guys with their tacticool dot-equipped Glocks and such. Edited November 17, 2016 by MemphisMechanic
