Best way to bend trigger return springs?

I am testing some different CZ trigger return springs but I found it very difficult to bend the 2 legs of the springs using hand tools.  These are steel springs and very resistant to external forces.

Is there a better way to bend springs physically? Maybe heat them up with heat gun first?

Install the trigger return spring in the gun as usual. then take needle nose pliers and grab the long leg of the spring, the one you see in the frame, up 90 degrees from where it is at rest in its slot. release it and let it return. a DIY reduced power trigger return spring.

take the long leg with pliers, put a punch trough the hole of the spring and pull the punch to bend the spring
