3djedi
Just bought a ultrasonic cleaner to clean small gun parts and stuff. Is there any good DIY cleaner recipes or is it just best to go buy a ready made product?
biglou13
http://www.6mmbr.com/ultrasonic.html ive used this formula for years and ive recently tried with lemmishine for brass, for small parts dish soap ( dawn) and water, simple green be sure to lube parts soon after rinse and dry.. I feel like the ultrasonic is doing most of the work here. also make sure solution is safe for finish...... the clean and shiny will strip any bluing dont ask me how i know..... rhowell309
I don't have a lot of experience but I have cleaned several items with Simple Green Pro HD. Stay away from the standard Simple Green as it will damage Aluminum and many finishes. Pro HD is safe for aluminum, but read the label and do some research regardless of what you choose. I bought it at Lowes and mixed it by the instructions toward the strongest concentration. I'd have to look at my notes for the exact percentage. 3djedi
Thanks! Yeah I was just on my way to home Depot to buy some of this. I saw it recommended other places online for ultrasonic cleaning. Thanks again.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
bigboy69
Use Weapon Shield Solvent
adamge
I use white vinegar and dish soap. My brass and gun parts are clean but not shiny, and I'm fine with that.
bigboy69
I have a Branson ultra sonic that holds close to 5gal. Im looking for an alternative to Weapon Shield to put in it to clean parts, not brass, gun parts.

And it was only like $13 at home depot.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
