kmca
My Taccom racks do a very good job of retaining the shells, actually too good. Has anyone sanded/filed on the racks so they release the shell a little easier? Would you use heat and loosen the grip slightly? Thanks.
TRUBL
Which model do you have? If it is the Deuce line of shells, you can go in with some 220 sand paper on the brass side and work that in with your finger.......take a little at a time The sport series, should not need any work as they only clip onto the plastic hull. TRUBL
Yep....220 grit sandpaper, little at a time. That was replaced (just recently) by the 8S4 http://www.taccom3g.com/sport-series-8s4.html
kmca
Thanks for the reply TRUBL. I guess I've had them longer than I thought
mpom
I wrapped a strip of 220 paper around the shell, clicked it in the caddy and rotated it back and forth a few times, cleaned out residue and checked the tightness. Stop before you go too far
kmca
I did that, then buffed them to a shine with a polishing wheel. Thanks for the replies.
