BeerBaron
The 10 degree thing has been done both ways. some holes are drilled 10 degrees pointing forward (to muzzle end) to avoid getting dirt onto the cmore. others drill their holes 10 degrees facing to the rear which theoretically is better from a performance perspective as it's pulling the gun forward just a little. personally I agree with kneelingatlas. if I was drilling the holes on a hobby type drill press I would just go straight up. Much easier than trying to cut them at an angle. If I had something more advanced to drill the holes I would personally go 10 degrees to the rear. It's not a massive amount and you'd be hard pressed to even see it with the naked eye.
alfa75
so was my tanfoglio open chronograph today to 163pf, with swiss rs24 8,2gn gunpowder 125 hp projectile and the total of 29,2mm. shall measure next time with magnum primer, and hope it gives a little more pf, (and burn the whole amount of gunpowder) to be on the safe side of major Edited August 31, 2016 by alfa75
