bigboy69
Anyone have any good load data? Most I seen was for 9mm and 115's in 38 super. My barrel is about 4.5" with 2, 3/16" popple holes. Looking for a major load. I just want this for another option.
Glk21C
when I did some searches here I found in the 8.2 to 8.4 grain range for 124's. Of course work up lower than that.
bigboy69
Thanks. from what I've been seeing, I should probably be around 7.8 with a 125g blue bullet.
mikev49
I can make major with a 125 blue bullet out of an STI GM with 8.4 and a 170pf at 8.6 but I load 9 to 9.2 because I like the way the dot tracks better at that velocity. I got the load from another shooter who had to use over 10 grains to make 170 because of his popple holes. Never tried it with 115 because it worked so well with the 125s. Ace38super
I have a Brazos full size super with 4 Popple holes. My load is 8.8 to 9.0 4756 with a Zero 125 jhp. OAL is 1.235. Each lot of 4756 is different. Also 4756 is inverse temperature sensitive. In hot weather you might see a large drop off in velocity.
bigboy69
That is the biggest drawback of it. Maybe I'll just sell it or swap 5lbs for 5lbs of another powder.
