Jetskidawg
I've been shooting Production with my Stock 2 and want to give Limited and/or L10 a try using the same gun. The one I'm looking at is the Henning Competition magwell. What are your thoughts about installing a magwell and would this be a good choice? kneelingatlas
The Henning mag well is the best available for Tanfoglios, you won't be disappointed. A few questions: Is your Stock II a 40 or 9mm? Will you be converting it to SAO? Do you plan to switch back and forth?
Jetskidawg
It's a 9 so I'm going to be dealing with the minor power factor scoring. At this point it's all I have. I wasn't planning on convering it to SA but that's an interesting thought. What are the advantages? I probably won't switch back and forth b/c I have two . BeerBaron
Agree that henning is the magwell to have. Get his 140 bases for your mags. With the grams spring and follower that'll give you 23-24 rounds and the bases work nicely with the magwell.
Jetskidawg
Thx for the advice!!
BeerBaron
no worries. btw if you're switching between limited and production don't bother converting to SAO. you can still start cocked and locked (ie in SA mode) in limited even though the gun is DA/SA. so for all intents and purposes it will be SAO when shooting limited. IronArcher
Is there any drilling that needs to be done to install the Hennings mag well? If so does that disqualify the gun from production (even with mag well removed)?

Jetskidawg
So I have a Stock 2 in .40 coming, which will be better for limited (major PF). Appreciate the info on the magwell, that's the direction I'll go, what grips do you recommend? EGD for large frame, Henning custom, ... ?
kneelingatlas
I like the factory checkered wood, they fill the hand nicely. I cut a set of factory black plastic grips to work with the magwell, but they're a little thin for me.
