Guga Ribas Holster and SV Steel Grip

I have an older Guga Ribas (see attached picture) holster from about 2005/2006 IIRC (not the newer GR/Ernie Hill model.)

Does anyone know if the SVI Steel grip will work with the older Guga Ribas?

I know that the DAA Racemaster has two separate inserts for the polymer STI and the Steel SVI grips so there must be some slight differences, at least.

I'm thinking of getting a new pistol (actually trying to talk myself out of it, lol) and would like to know if I have to get a different holster for it.

Is your trigger guard on your steel grip like the standard sti square guard or is it round?

The 2011 SV steel grip is like the square STI polymer grip. They look similar but there must be some difference(s).

I actually had an SV open pistol with the steel grip but never holstered it.

i didn't like it with the infinity steel grip. It can work but I had snags from time to time. I never had a snag with a polymer grip.

Your draw must be strait up. It you push away from your body on the draw it can snag.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks for the info.

Thought it was supposed to be exact but we all know what exact fit gets you dealing with firearms lol
