Alaskan454
A few of the guys at our local club were chatting about bringing their S&W 627s or similar 8 shots 357s to run in NFC some time. I think it would be interesting to see how they line up with CDP times since you have 8 shots of 357 vs 8 shots of 45, both major PF. I think it would be a fun exercise to say the least. Thoughts? racknrider
I always compare my times to all other divisions. I expect CDP to win out unless those wheelgun guys are fast.
Forrest Halley
As with every revo vs. semiautomatic comparison the CoF is the deciding factor. The magazine reload is a bit more sure on a dead run and he has an extra round. I believe the revo could hang in there pretty decently in the right hands. I have run a 625 right up with the semis to twelve and sometimes beyond if the arrays and reloads could be coordinated properly.
Alaskan454
The round count does make a big difference, the last two months we had a 12 round stage and my 625 was faster than all the semi autos. I just barely squeaked by a MA shooter in SSP, but his total match time was 2/3 of mine. Things to strive for.
afoulk
Let me put it this way, I'd much rather run my 627 at 125 pf in SSP or ESP. I'd happily run my 625 at 165 pf in CDP. Shooting a 627 at major power factor doesn't appeal to me at all.
Alaskan454
I see that point, that's why I usually compare my 625 times to the CDP crowd. I'm saving up for a 929 since minor PF makes the most sense in an 8 shot for me.
