kevin c
20 years ago I started with what I had, a Beretta 92 FS. Made a formal decision to move to Limited Division and bought a tricked up Taurus .40, which was the same platform as the Beretta (my gun turned out to be a centerfold model for American Handgunner). Then I had a custom Para 40 built up from a frame kit, with a customized factory gun as back up. After that, I went to Production, starting with minor .40 with a G35 and then 9mm with a G34. Still shooting the same G34, although occasionally I'll shoot both major and minor 40 out of the G35 if I go to the Nationals where L10 and Production are back to back. Honestly, only the Glocks came close to fitting my small hands, but I only learned that after shooting, experimenting and learning enough to know the difference. I have never tried the steel Production guns that seem to be popular now, and have not felt compelled to try other Divisions, but who knows.
