The OEM front sight came off with a standard amount of force, the rear needed a brass punch and a lot of force. The Warren rear went on with nominal amount of fitting but the front slide almost all the way in by hand. I had to use a prick punch to peen some material on the bottom of the front sight then used some red loctite for good measure. The Warren front sight doesn't have provisions for the OEM roll pin. The sights hit 3" low at 50ft with 230gr Wally World ammo but hit POA with my 200gr minor loads which is what I shoot 75% of the time. I'm going to play around with some 185gr and 200gr carry loads to see if the POI comes up a little. If not, I'll probably pick up a Dawson .100x.160" front sight. I'd be very curious to see how the Dawson dovetail fits compared to the Warren front. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
