Want a 10mm stock II, reasonable to buy as .45 and convert?

I want a 10mm stock II. But can't find one. I like the idea of converting calibers

Is there any difference once a gun is converted? Do they lack any factory fitting?

Is there a source of stock 2s or any coming? Or just buy what u see?

The tolerance of slide to frame fit is a crap shoot, plus chances of getting a 10mm Stock II conversation are slim. If I wanted that setup I would buy a Stock I in 10mm, then a Stock II in whatever, then swat top ends.

Are you stuck on the Stock II? Here's a great deal on a Stock III 10mm: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=487138249

Or a Limited Pro 10mm if you like the chrome: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=487344321

Thanks!!

Well I just wanted a great 10mm, and maybe a conversion slide or two....

I am not normally a chrome guy....is there preferred finish?

I was leaning to full length dust cover......,but not stuck on it

Dealer has match in, but not digging the 2 tone

So stock 3 is same as stock 2, except the chrome?

I am open to suggestions, I have learned to get exactly what you want the first time.....but not seeing all the guns in hand makes it tough to know what I like

If you're not crazy about chrome, the Stock III is a perfect choice, it's a 1/4" longer than the Stock II and has the heft to make shooting 10mm loads much more comfortable.

It has the competition frame with awesome checkering as well.

Thanks! i am off to do my homework....

So, I can get the used 10mm stock, and hope to source a 9mm slide...

Or new 9mm stock 3 and find a 10mm long slide....

Wonder which makes sense?

Get a Match! Awesome bang for the buck and beefy.

I started with the match, but seems the stocks were more desirable?

I am all over the place ...lol

Just want to get the right one....

Thanks all

For starters, just wanted to try a 10mm... Looked at delta elite; but got swayed away from them ...

Saw the tanfoglio 10mm match at lgs, got me searching....

Seems the 9mm stock 2/3 were the favored so I figured I would shot more 9mm than 10mm realistically....

If it's just a range toy and a way to get your feet wet in the platform I would get a Match, it's a lot of bang for the buck, then if you end up with a high end Tanfo later you can swap the 10mm slide onto it.

You pay a premium for the Stock IIs and IIIs in 9mm because that's the hot ticket for Production division and conversion kits aren't legal in Production.

A Stock 1 has the barrel of the Stock 2 with the cone shape lockup. the frame is like a CZ. In stock at Tombstone

The Limited Pro has the frame of the Stock 2 but with a normal barrel, also in stock.

The Limited is the single action version of the Stock 2, also in stock.

You have a lot of options without having to order a conversion kit.

God choice

Freudian slip?

An apt one for the 10mm :) such a righteous round that if archangel Michael were walking the Earth today he'd be vanquishing souls with a steel 10mm!

No, don't think so although I think a lot of the 10MM too.
