Nimitz
since i have to be at my club's SC match next week (i'm the MD) I'm considering shooting the match one-handed given that I'm only in week 2 of 6 weeks with my left arm in a cast ... I set up one of my dryfire banners last night (pendulum) and ran a few reps without a timer .... didn't seem all that difficult to do. anyone ever shoot rimfire one-handed? got to be better than just standing around for 3 hrs watchung everyone else shoot ... atbarr
Three years ago, I had a total shoulder replacement of my right (shooting hand) shoulder. My doctor told me I could only shoot a .22 for at least three months. I literally couldn't pick up an empty coffee cup using only my right hand. Anyway, I shot the Steel matches using my left hand to move my right hand. I did ok, I was close to the bottom, but beat a few. :^) The main thing was I got some trigger time and had a bunch of fun. Go for it! Edited April 24, 2015 by atbarr
IHMSA15151
Heck, why not!! Like you said, it's got to be better than watching. We have a guy at our club who only has one arm. It's impressive how well and how fast he can shoot. With a little practice you should be good to go.
