jmurch
I have a few Les Baers and I'm thinking of selling my 99% out of 100% condition P2 Super Tac. Is this a gun that popular at all in single stack? Thanks, Jeff
greyhounder
No reason why not. Would need some extras to compete, magwell, etc but yeah. Good place to start a Baer.
tha1000
Is the only difference between the PII and the PII Supertac the baked on finish vs the gorgeous Baer blue? I have a UTC that I run in single stack on occasion and have been considering picking up a PII for the purpose of competing with and keeping the UTC as a carry gun. co-exprs
I've been running a Baer in single stack and heavy metal, 3 gun for 8 years. The usual high end 1911 maintenance applies, but my pistol has about 130k on it now. Frame and slide on my stainless model are still tighter than any new production 1911. So the frame and slide have held up really well. My only complaint, is that Baer uses proprietary parts in his guns. That means every part you put in it has to be hand fit. You can't just buy one of those nice drop in trigger kits and call it good. That being said... Baer's are made to be shot and shot and shot. Use a little grease on the rails and on the barrel feet and it should go the distance. I wouldn't hessitate to buy again.
