EasyTargetRN
Thinking of acquiring a G35 barrel/slide assembly to use on my 22 to improve accuracy but concerned about frame to slide fit... OR would it be more prudent to buy a 35? (Always better to have more guns) considering the matching during the mfg process? Plans to use it in production then move to limited with modifications. Thanks...
bockerSV
Well for production you couldn't just swap out top ends, that's okay for limited, so if you plan on shooting both I would just run the 22 in production and load up some .40 minor, maybe do a little trigger work, some new sights and add some grip tape and save for the 35. That way you can have it tricked out like a limited gun should be and you won't have to mess around taking stuff off if you'd like to shoot production. RangerTrace
Seems like a ridiculous rule. There would be no advantage to him other than not having the expense of two pistols.........
polymerfeelsweirdman
You probably won't see an accuracy difference between a 22 and 35 but you might shoot the 35 "better" I doubt there would be any problems switching a 35 slide assembly on to your 22 frame, the locking blocks are the same spec. blackiechan
Well you can also just get a G35 threaded barrel and a TF sight block when you are going to limited
b1gcountry
Do you think stippling is in your future? 2 guns Is your 22 a gen 4? 2 guns. Do you want to shoot the 22 slide in production? 1 gun 2 slides Are you thinking about moving permanently to limited when you go there? 1 gun 2 slides
EasyTargetRN
Thanks for all the advice/info. May leave as is for now as my "go to 40" and start saving funds to refine my SA 1911 or add a Spartan V Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
