Big Thunder
CZ Forum Members, I'm trying to find a comfortable and correct way to grip my SPO1. The issue is my support hand (left)....not sure where I should place it to make sure it doesn't interfere with the slide lock and provides the most support. Any advice or pictures is appreciated. Thanks, Stan
BrazeauRacing
What grips are on your gun?
Big Thunder
I have the thin aluminum grips.
BrazeauRacing
I had this issue with the thin Xtreme grips that were on my Tanfoglio Limited. The slide would lock back prematurely during my runs in a match because my support hand was touching the slide stop. I replaced the grips with slightly thicker Henning grips, and haven't had an issue since. You may want to consider the CZC thick grips.
Big Thunder
Really, my main issue is where to put my weak hand thumb to provide the most support for the overall grip.
alma
My CZ grip is around 3:50 on the video. Using the aluminum grips I settled on covering the entire week hand grip in grip tape.

Smitty79
My son was having problems with the extended slide release on a Shadow. He put a standard CZ 75 slide stop on his gun and problem solved. For me, on a CZ85, making sure I get as much of my left hand on the grip as I can and using thick enough grips made this a non-issue.
