KOBGT
If you have 2 open guns Your "match" gun is 38SC Your "backup" gun is 9major What happens if your Match gun "breaks", is it a problem to use the backup gun even though it is not the same as the match gun? Please answer the question before you pontificate on "why would you want to have 2 open guns with 2 different loads?"
Sarge
A problem how? You mean with match officials? That's outlined in the rule book. RM has to approve the new gun and you have to chrono it
Hi-Power Jack
Back up gun doesn't have to be identical ... just in the same category (OPEN, Limited, etc). I don't know if they have to be the same caliber???
EkuJustice
It's up to the match director. They only have to fit the division so if your open gun breaks a limited gun would be useable as a backup gun if the RM approves. I haven't seen one yet that wouldn't approve one for a broken gun as long as it fits the division
