Was considering buying a pistol direct from SV and saw that they offered a stainless finish option on some of their models. The other question I had was can a blued pistol be hard chromed? .40AET Posted February 2, 2005 Share Posted February 2, 2005 Stainless can gaul if the gun runs dry of oil. Having bought a stainless limited gun from SV, I would not do it again. Get the blue gun and get it hard chromed when you're ready. I would also take the money that you would spend on a factory SV and buy what ever you want from any of the top smiths in the country who frequent this forum.
