Costa thigh rig for 3gun?

I'm going to shoot Superstition Mountain this spring for the first time since 07. I'm putting together my gear and I was thinking about what to use to carry spare AR mags. I have this Costa upper thigh rig that I used for a class and thought that it might work well for 3 gun. What do you guys think? Or should I just go with a belt mounted Blade Tech? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

Stay with gear on your belt. The less distance your hands need to move, the more time efficient you will be.

If you want to look Operator, then go with the Costa! Otherwise for the price of the Operator look you can have 3 of the Blade-Tech Ar mag pouches and have the 3-Gun Pro look (well, only if you have a $125 Techwear shirt!) LOL!

Get a WORKING Surefire mag or a 40-50 round mag.

Just put the spare in your pocket if you want to have one.

I've gone to SMM3G for several years now. I usually use two mags coupled together. No mag on the belt. I use the Arredondo couplers. Usually I just bring 2x30 coupled, 2x45 coupled, 20 round mag and a 30 round mag.

40 rd Pmag with an extension and a 30 or 40 on your belt using a $25 single mag holder. Have a set of coupled mags as stated above and it will get you through every stage there.

I was in heavy div a few years ago and can only remember reloading on one or two stages and that limited to 20rd mags

If you have it bring it. Sometimes they have weird stuff and you never know what will work until you see it. Like hanging from parachute and whatnot.
