Issue with reset on 75B with CGW parts

I gave my 75b a once over with parts from CGW - the hammer kit 3, type 2 disconnector, and the short reset system. I now feel two distinct resets on the trigger. The first reset I feel only resets the sear - if I pull the trigger at this point, the hammer will fall but the firing pin block will not move, so no firing pin strike on the primer. The second reset is the full reset and after that one the gun functions normally.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to remove some material from somewhere, likely either the trigger bar or the lifter, however when I look at the bottom of the sear cage the engagement surface for the sear is further forward than the engagement surface for the lifter, so it seems to me like the lifter should reset before the sear. I've tried looking into the gun with the slide off to see what's going on in there, but I've not been able to get a good angle that I can see with, and the frame's to narrow to get a mirror in there for a better angle. I'm hesitant to start removing material without seeing exactly what's going on.

Any ideas on what to do to fix this? (I don't have any pictures available right now, I can try to get some later when I get home.)

The position of the sear leg and the lifter leg in relation to the sear cage is not necessarily an indicator of which resets first since the areas of the trigger bar where they reset are not necessarily even. You've done some good detective work to figure out which leg is too long so you can either take metal from the trigger bar or the lifter, I recommend the lifter because it's easier to get to and it's cheaper to replace if you take too much :surprise:

(plus if you mess it up just let me know and I'll send you another  )
