AaronTPhotography
I am thinking of using an aristocrat sight rib in Metallic on my 686. Reading the rules (that I have they are a bit old) I see that the rear sight is not allowed to go past the end of the "frame", given that the frame is solid and extends to the base of the grip is there any issue with the "overhang" of the rear sight by 10mm or so above the hammer? Many thanks' Aaron T
Steve RA
Been a long time but I seem to remember it being the frame at the point where the sight sits.
BaggerJoe
The only thing I see in the current rules (NRA, Jan 2014) is that a revolver cannot have a barrel length longer than 8 5/8", the front sight may not extend beyond the muzzle, and a maximum sight radius of 11". ("NRA Action Pistol Shooting Rules - Rule 3.2 Metallic Sight Firearm")
