lucky #7 Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 I just changed from a Dawson to a Zev stainless magwell. The Zev magwell is really solid. However, once installed it has a very slight amount of up and down movement. It appears that the set screw on the rear that holds the insert in the grip moves inside the hole in the rear of the grip ever so slightly. Has anyone else experienced this? lucky #7 Posted September 19, 2014 Author Share Posted September 19, 2014 I'm using a gen 3 G24. The movement is very tiny. There isn't any flex or pinching. Just a little movement in the screw hole. ron169 Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Mine moves on my gen 4. My first gen 4 magwell was the first type that they produced, and it didn't flex. But I sheared the bolt head off where the base connects to the plug. I called and tried to get a new plug, but they had redesigned the magwell since my first one and the plug and bolt are now different. Wound up getting a steep discount under warranty. I've shot 3 matches with it, and it feels good to me. No pinching. I can't feel it move while shooting. Any ideas on how to eliminate the movement?
