dhunt91
how is it on using gas and reliablity that is my main concern with the 16" rifle
Shooter115
I'm running it with an adjustable gas block, full weight BCG and a carbine buffer with 1 weight removed. No reliability issues what so ever. I've shot 3 matches with it now. Eventual plan is to switch to a LW carrier and buffer.
dhunt91
okay thanks. I might have decided on the 16" then is the gas port up front opened up enough to run without a adj i will be using one but just curious.
OPENB
I built my ultra lightweight build with the 16.5" Voodoo. With the SLR adjustable gas block, I am 6 clicks from closed. It has everything I was looking for: manuverable in tight quarters, accurate, flat shooting with the Voodoo comp, and light in the hand. I would not reject the 18" Voodoo, just don't have one. I remember reading the port size is bigger, but don't recall it's size. It's in the Voodoo thread. Edited September 11, 2014 by OPENB

RigPig
Though not one on your list, I really like the 18" rifle-length gas SS Nordic Components barrel in my 3g build. It's very accurate and reliable. The gas port is undersized for use with the LMOS system and fixed gas block. I was running a DD full-weight carrier and A2 buffer and spring, and just switched to a JP LMOS carrier and buffer system. I'm interested to see how it runs and whether the undersized gas port works as advertized.
TheBoss
16" cut down a re crowned to 14.5" with a pinned and welded comp and mid length low profile adjustable gas block.
