Was a Large frame Witness in .22 ever made?

I'm in the market for a .22 handgun and found someone local selling a large frame eaa witness in 22. Was such a thing ever made? I'm thinking this was a 10mm or 45 with a slide conversion.

From the picture, the gun is all black. Not sure if this will help ID it.

I'm fairly certain EAA does not sell a dedicated .22 Witness, but they do sell the conversions and combo packs. So I would suspect you're right, that this is a large frame Witness pistol converted to .22, without the original top end.

like kneeling said i would just get the top end. you can order it straight from EAA. i think i saw them at midways as well

The black slide in this pic is the 22 conversion, the other slide is the 9mm conversion. Base gun is a 40 cal.
