victor6
Do comps really do anything when running super light steel challenge loads? If I'm running 115 grain bullets over 4 grains of 231 will the comp help? (besides hanging some weight at the end of my barrel). Just curious and interested in others opinions. Thanks, Victor
Alan550
Not a lot, but considering that .22LR guns run comps, it helps some. If you've ever had a comp come off as I have on a .22, there's a real difference before & after. So it has to help on a 9MM. victor6
An interesting experiment would be to close up the ports on a 22 comp (duct tape? ) to see how much is the porting -vs- just the added weight hanging off the barrel.
Nimitz
besides looking really cool comps help fast shooters shoot a little faster ...
kneelingatlas
Last Thursday I won a Fun Steel match shooting my Shadow out of a Blade Tech and surprisingly my times were vary similar to those using my Open gun and a CR Speed holster... amish_rabbi
try using a slower powder, still light loads but more gas means more work from the comp
