Magnus DUX Posted July 17, 2014 Share Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Bought a used SP01 Shadow with heavy main spring installed ( was used with Kadet upper) Now I am trying to change the main spring back to stock but can't release a magazine brake. I followed multiple instructional videos and it should be pretty straightforward process. Removed grips, took off the bottom pin, but when I depress the mainspring plug on the bottom- the brake is still solidly seated in the bottom slot and doesn't move even under considerable pressure.
