Coconut
I'm curious about what is MINOR and MAJOR on loads? I'm assuming it is a PF for shooting competition but don't know what the definitions are. I see Black bullets and Blue bullets mentioned..................... Don't guess I've ever seen them, who puts them out and what is your opinion as compared to Extreme or Berry's. Thanks for the input, hope I'm not beating a dead horse! C
Steve RA
Black bullets are BBI, the various colors denote the mfrs of the bullets. Same coating, they just use different colors of it. Major/Minor are power factors. They are derived by the bullet weight times the velocity. 165 Major and 125 minor. 200X1000 = 200000 which is then rounded off to 200. 115X1325 = 152375 or 152. I've used the BBI bullets and they work quite well.

dave33
Bayou Bullets, SNS casting, Ibejiheads, BBI, Black and Blue bullets, thebluebullets.com, and eggleston cast bullets all make a coated lead projectile. I have personal experience ordering from Bayou, SNS, thebluebullets, and Ibejiheads and have been 100% satisfied with them all. They are all pretty close in price so pick your favorite color, bullet shape or weight and I'm sure you will be happy with the product.
tac_driver
plated bullets are more expensive but not by much and leave a little copper fouling in the bore also you have to be more precise when you crimp so as not to break through the plating coated is cleaner in the bore less expensive and can be crimped like lead bullets as long as you don't over crimp and i find them more accurate then plated
