DrLove
guys, have you noticed any change in your speed based on the mount you use? As in, it is faster for example, to draw with the vertical mount than it is with the horizontal or vice versa? Just curious...
Shadow
No. My speed is the same with either mount.
Rick88
For the type of shooting we do and the distance we shoot I have never found that either one improved my score or speed over the other, however if you have erratic ejection the side mount could be a benefit... hornetx40
I only found a difference after shooting the 90 degree mount long enough to get better. When I installed it many shooters will tell you it blocks your view to the left which will slow you down when acquiring a target moving to the left. But when you aren't good enough to notice it....It has no effect. As I got a little faster and more accurate I finally noticed it blocking my view as I was closing in on a target....not good for me so then I switched my guns back to a regular mount. Never be afraid to experiment....failure is a great teacher if you are listening.
