atbarr
I want to shoot minor PF with this in an upcoming GSSF match. I want to use a 11lb. recoil spring in it. So I ordered the insert and a recoil rod for a G19. Since the 11lb. spring will be compressed more than in a G17 or G34, will it still function as a 11lb. spring? Or should I cut off a couple of coils?
alma
I don't think after market Springs are allowed for GSSF except in the Unlimited division. Edited May 21, 2014 by alma
JBP55
If you are using the correct spring for the G19 it should not be compressed more. The G17/G34 springs are longer than the G19 springs regardless of weight.
atbarr
ISMI doesn't offer springs specifically for a G19. That's why I think I need to cut off a few coils.

alma
It looks like ISMI has 13lb springs for the Glock 19 (mid sized frame Glocks http://www.ismi-gunsprings.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10&Itemid=17 ) and Wolf has 15 lb springs for the 19 ( http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?page=items&cID=1&mID=5 )

ISMI does make G19 springs but not a 11# spring which is only 61% of the OEM spring. I used to run the 15# spring which is 83% of the OEM spring using factory ammunition.
