jkushner1
Does any company make flaired or oversize mag base pads for a CZ 75/85. The grip is a little short for my hand - this would improve grip, especially freestyle. Any help greatly appreciated. Jon
SRT Driver
I do not believe that the basepad can be changed for Production.

SRT Driver
If the base pads are OEM and don't add extra weight then I think they are OK for production.
jkushner1
Mike E sporadically receives shipments from CZ Europe of the rubber base pads, that are oversized circumference wise - they absolutely improve grip on the 75/85. Good news - he just got a shipment in - Call Mike or Sales at CZ $8.20/pce. They fit the cz factory hi cap mags, the mec-gar hi caps (9mm) need to be filed slightly. Thanks, Jon CZ-USA P.O. Harmon
from what i can gather, the 31 round is legal for production and limited 10, as they dont have max mag length rule. they just state 10 rounds in the gun. that reminds me,... i gotta get some of those glock "big sticks"
Carlos
Got the word from Angus; the basepads are in and are a factory supplied CZ original OEM part intended for the 75B and 85 Combat so they are legal for use in USPSA Production division. Should cure the occasional "palm-ectomy" that the steel base-pads sometimes caused. In addition, Angus' new Team CZ-USA mate Todd Sindelar (also of Team Shooters Paradise) showed up at the monthly match with the new generation CZ 75/85 magazines that feature a re-designed mag body. The feed-lips feature an angled bend at the top much like the ones used on the Standard IPSC. This is in contrast to the old mag that has a rounded radius at the top leading to the feed lips. Also, in the new mags, there are no side-dents like there were on the older 15 round mags (the dents that had to be milled out to use the CPMI extensions). Of course, mag manufacture has been contracted out to the excellent Mec-Gar corp of Italy (as it has been for years). Regards, D.C. Trey
Glock offers +2 base pads...are those legal for Production? p92.green rule book IPSC production - nope 19.2 Base plates and/or any other devices which provide additional ammunition capacity (eg +2 mag. ext.), are prohibited. pg 97 USPSA production - any factory mag/parts appears ok. max mag length - no max ammo capacity - 10 rounds loaded in any mag after start signal.
