I just can't seem to do a stage walkthrough without saying "bang bang" as I decide what order to engage the targets. Anybody else do this, or am I just weird?

I have picked up several of those with the primer allready fallen out. (9mm) A shooting buddy of mine reloaded some and the loose primer pockets caused him problems.

Why's that, Kory? Less launch with hi-speed spin? (I want to be ready in case some dumbass ever asks me if I want to drive one. ) Some race car driving instructor could explain it better, but when you are pitched sideways with rear wheel spin, getting off the throttle and on the brakes hard when the car starts to act unexpectedly only serves to make the car behave even more unexpectedly. If you stay on the throttle, the car will probubly either straighten out or spin out rather than shift the center of gravity forward onto the front wheels (that are no longer pointed straight down the road) and suddenly turn on you. Instant transition from severe understeer to severe oversteer just makes things worse. Most of the guys that bought Cobra replicas had one of the mechanics/builders take them for a ride in their own car when they picked it up, smart enough to know they lacked the seat time to drive the car anywhere near it's potential, but still wanting to feel what it could do. It was always a shame to put a bunch of time and effort into a car just to have some idiot total it out, which happened more than once.

It was a "Superformance" cobra replica, they are very nice, that one was probubly $60K or more. I used to build and fix them for a living as a mechanic at a shop called "House of Cobras", and I have driven dozens of them, all manufacturers. The Superfornace are among my favorites, they hande really well and are well designed. She might have been OK if she stayed on the throttle hard instead of lifting.

Shot this one today at SWPL/Lopez Canyon Production, 7.82 sec, 1c and 1d, those were the first and last shots respectively. Felt like about a 90%, calculator puts it at 93%, goodbye A-class.

I had a loose shellplate platform. Problem solved w/o the need for exotic case resizing procedures.

They are neat rifles, I only have one that I bought from CMP a while back. I am waiting for the different manufacturers to get listed for the current shipment they received before I order another.

I have a couple of CZ-75B's, and they are pretty much all I shoot. Slidestops last 10-15K for me, broke one last Saturday during a USPSA match. (always carry a spare) 5 yr warantee, so a new one is in the mail. My other 75B is converted to SA only, has about 70K on it, and has broke 3 slidestops that I can remember, but no springs or roll pins.

650, reloading 9mm w/ LEE dies. Sometimes a case hangs up on the way into the resize die in station #1. I know the LEE dies don't have much funnel to them to guide the cases in, compared to Dillon dies (which I do not currently own) Here's an idea......what's your opinion? Move the resize die to station #2, and put a bullet seater die in station #1 with the guts removed, adjust it so the die body puts a very mild crimp on the case mouth so it it less likely to hangup on the way into the resize die in station #2. I did that first step with a bunch of cases on my single stage then threw them into the casefeeder and I got no hangups. I know this will work the brass a little more, but I rarely get my brass back anyway and 3 reloads on the same brass is probubly a record for me. There are very few new ideas out there, so somebody must gave tried this, or found a solution to the hangup issue with the resize die that doesn't require me to buy a new resize die. I was just about to switch to a U-die which I doubt would be any better in this respect. I allready have a spare seater die body I can use for this. What am I missing?

I am using #3 buttons, as they came with the 650 when I ordered it from Brian with the 9mm caliber conversion.

Title sums it up, I keep destroying shellplate locator buttons on my 650 in station-5, where I have a LEE FCD. Reloading 9mm only, it's a caliber dedicated machine. Buttons get pulled halfway out then bent in half when the indexing round hits them. The hole it goes into is no longer perfect, it has been oblongated at the top half. I reamed it back into ound to accept a new button, and twice more this has happened. I no longer run a button in that station, which occasionally causes a hangup. any ideas?

I'm noticing a trend, I guess I'll order the U-die. FWIW, all the ammo chamber gauges fine in my production gun with it's sloppy chamber, but I never had this case gauge failure rate before.

I have recently been getting case gauge rejects in 9mm when I previously didn't have that problem. They hang up near the base of the case, where the marks from resizing end. Setup is 650 w/ LEE carbide die, one-shot for lube, and the resize die is screwed down so it touches the shellplate (even when there is brass in it). I'm out of ideas, you have any?

This month I went from a 48.xx% to 75.xx% in production division, I had six classifiers added all at once. Now all I need is five good classifiers in one month to make the leapfrog to GM

Call my buddy Marc (714) 779-7426 (PST) If you have tricky multi color, small print, or intricate artwork and you actually want to be able to read it; you won't find any better. Small jobs are OK (artwork fees are the same reguardless of how many hats) He will also just do the digitizing and send the file to you so the local embroidery house can do the stitching.

I'd shoot the same CZ-75 in 9mm that I currently shoot, but I would complain that I can't use SP-01 mags for an extra 2 rounds. I frequently shoot that gun in Limited anyway (w/ 20 rd mags), so the change would just be making a Limited-minor division where I would presumably be more at home, but with a "factory" magazine rule instead of a 140mm rule. Except I would feel like I am at a disadvantage once again and I would contemplate switching guns and divisions at great expense.

I just installed an EZ-loader in my new 1100 tactical last night, and it was the first time I have ever taken apart any Remington firearm. I spent about 3 hours filing, assembling, disassembling, filing..... I was able to reuse the factory pin, it reflared easily much like a CZ-75 trigger pin. so I have two spare roll pins for the range bag just in case. I won't know if the gun runs until this weekend and I mess around with it after the match. It's still new and only has ~150 shells through it, it is almost running 100% on the cheap 7.5 Federals from Wallyworld, if I keep it oiled up. It is so much easier to cram shells in it now, this is a necessary part, period.

This new job of mine has interfered with my shooting to a level I find unacceptable. I am working every Sat and Sun morning 7am-3:30pm, exactly when all USPSA and steel matches are held. I have been promised I would be moved to the 11pm-7:30am shift "soon" so I could shoot after work, a comprimise at best. This is what I hate, I am anxiously hoping to moved to night shift so I can resume shooting USPSA, but at a comprimised level since I will be exhausted after working all night. It is allready past the promised time when the change in scheduling would occur, which is probubly why I am so pissed off by now. ARGH

Brownell's sells a cold-black for stainless I believe. I haven't tried it, but I bet that's about as cheap as it gets.

illegal stage I sometimes wonder why we bother with rules... stage description: 18 rounds Hands above shoulders gun loaded and holstered. Start: In any box, but "A" you must shoot strong hand Box "B" freestyle and box "C" weak hand. Procedure: engage as you see. A mandatory reload must be made between each box. If you condone back shooting, this stage was begging for it: cut out all movement and two mandatory reloads, and get to do the whole thing freestyle instead of mixed strong/weakhand.

Every time there is talk of change reguarding the different divisions, people get upset. Will anybody get upset if the divisions remain the same?

I think they are a little nuts to spend that kind of time and money on video games, but it's theirs to spend. I'm sure mnay of them would think we are crazy with what we spend on shooting.

Shooting a cornmeal shotgun at a few yards sure helps with the "hits".

I got a Chinese replica of a Tokyo Mauri M4 as a parting gift from a previous employer who is an Airsoft wholesaler. It only shoots 300 ft/sec which is fine for CQB but outdoors they got blown easily. I don't "play airsoft" so I don' know what folks really need in the woods. It's easy to spend a lot of money on these toys, and everyting you do to make it shoot faster makes you need to buy another upgraded part to deal with the increased stress. "Classic Army" is quite popular, but they are all plastic and pot metal.

I suppose one shot on game compared to a few dozen at the range would make for different priorities with recoil management and noise. I have never had a hunting guide (other than family) so such restrictions are foreign to me. It is a guide thing, not a legal thing, right? I couldn't imagine trying to carry my big bore any further than my vehicle to the bench. I still get the occasional shooter that parks himself on the bench right next to the fifty, proceeds to ask a few questions, then complains it is too loud after I warned him of the noise and blast. Kinda like the guys that see you have an autoloader then chooses to place themselves in the path of ejected brass so they can complain. Choose one of the dozen other benches or we can take turns, OK.
