rtr
Anyone using this reticle on a 5.56 AR? Trying to help a friend, wondering what setup you have found most useful shooting a 55gr at 3000FPS or so. http://www.leupold.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Tactical-Milling-Reticle-Man.pdf?8a9b08 seems to indicate a 100 yard zero on the dot and then holdovers in meters, but wanting to see what it does in the real world. Thanks.
JRicks
Yeah, I'm using it in the VX6 Multigun. It makes me sad. That's about it.

Blaise1
The VX6 is a good scope with a POS reticle. With a normal load like your 55/3000 and a 200yd zero figure the first hash as 450yds and the bottom of the circle about 625, and just guestimate everything in between. slowsure
I had a MK4 1.5-5 with the SPR. AS Blaise1 states above, my first hash was 434 yards with 69 SMK's. Really??? I gave up on that retical. Sent the scope back to Lupy and had them put a CRM2 in. More usable for the typical 3g distances.
Lead-Head
What was the $$$ damage to switch reticles and turnaround time may I ask???
jcarpenter82
Im wondering the same Lead-Head.
slowsure
Oh sure. 200.00 to swap reticle. 17.00 to ship. Took about 3 weeks total. It's CMR2 not CRM2 as I stated above. It's on a backup gun now.
Lead-Head
Thanks for info. I have heard of switching reticle before and passed on some leupold scopes before because of spr reticle. Would still have to be a heck of a deal to make $200 worth it I suppose.
alma
Do you know the ballistic coefficient for the round and scope hight?
alma
Assuming 100 yard zero .267 BC, and 2.7" scope hight I get 450 625 749 843 923
