jstagn
Loaded 230gr 45acp Alliant e3 at 4.3 gr. chrono today at 55-60 degree temps. How does temp affect E-3.
Steve RA
It has been said by several posters on the site that it is temp insensitive. No personal experience with it.
ZackJones
I haven't seen any differences so far. I've shot rounds over the chronograph in temps ranging from low 40's to upper 60's and there hasn't been a variance. We'll see some summer when it's in the 90's. bowenbuilt
I have chronoed it from 15 degrees to 98 degrees to find out for myself and if there is a difference I cannot detect one. I left the loaded magazines laying on the shooting table covered with a cloth for one hour before shooting them. I am sure there is some miniscule difference but both sessions registered the same results on a room temperature chronograph.
