Mike21STI
I have the STI sentry in 9mm... I would say get a Trojan add a dawson magwell(or your preferred magwell) ambi-safety and a trigger job and call it a day. I say this bc I removed the recoilmaster guide rod,and changed the magwell. I love the sentry but if I did it again I would get a Trojan and upgrade at time of purchase.
polymerfeelsweirdman
I know these aren't in your options but there are a few other options in that price range like the dan wesson valor and springfield trp. I am pretty far from a springfield fan but the trp shoots pretty nicely and is setup fairly well. the dan wesson is pretty impressive. there are also new para options that look good but I have not gotten to try the new ones yet (they're also series 80). ivan
While I don't have a Sentry: I do have a Trojan and I also have a Combat Elite. Get the Sentry. Perhaps quality control has improved at Colt since mine was built (mid 90's), but I am simply not impressed with this Colt. -ivan-
