Ray Chonlatid
Guys, talking about possibility. Do you think we will have 9rds revolver in near future ?
spook
Sure, it could be done, but I doubt it will be of 9mm caliber or greater. Maybe the new X-frame?
Dead Buff
Just remember that according to the rules (for Std rev) you are not allowed to fire more than 6 rounds before reloading (Appendix D5, note 16). So 9, 10, 11 rounds are no real help.
spook
I think Ray is asking because of the 9 round array rule. You could play with the autoloaders if you had a 9-shooter.
Dead Buff
Given...and some "cap-n-ball" shooters will then give many "bottom feeders" a hard time....
hearthco
Take an Xframe, raise the barrel about .07 and you can fit 9 holes pretty comfortably. Youll have move the firing pin, modify the hand, make a new star and make a new cylinder. If you do it let me know and Ill make your moonclips. DougCarden
Guys down in AZ already did it with either 32 or 32 mag. for ICORE, with Moonclips. Maybe Bubber or someone else can fill the blanks in.
Bubber
The first modern 9 shot I saw was designed by (Slick) Vic Maehren. He is the one that designed the eight shot cylinder in my Revo. Before Smith put out the eight shot design. His nine shot was built on a Astra frame and chambered in 32 Magnum. Kirby Goodman built a ten (yup that's 10) shot on the Smith N frame chambered in 32 Magnum. Those are the only two I know of.

Yes, I thinking revolver gun shooting in Production division. And by the rule, minimum cartridge must be 9x19. I never seen actual X-frame. Because prohibit by guns law (.500magnum) in my country. My concept wanna to see S&W make a hi-capacity revolver gun. As many rounds as possible in X-frame, 9x19 caliber in titanium cylinder. (9mm very worldwide) Stainless steel frame, stainless steel barrel 4" or 5" length.
