zypherdex
I was wondering if it was legal in single stack to mill some texturing on the side of the frame where my weakhand thumb rests. It is my understanding that the rules specifically talk about milling of the slide where lightening (slots, or holes) is not permitted, but flat topping/tri topping is permitted. Correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think the rules cover anything about the frame modification that I mentioned earlier. Any input would be greatly appreciated before I cut into my frame! ZackJones
I'm going to say no based on the following "External modifications or features such as weights or devices to control or reduce recoil (such as, but not limited to, thumb rests or components which could be used as such)." (Appendix D5, # 22). Wouldn't the texturing assist with reducing recoil?
EkuJustice
Wouldn't the texturing assist with reducing recoil? Not really it would be the same as skate take and not angled like a Thumb rest
GuildSF4
I would say contact John Amidon for clarification, because the match director makes the call you may want a note from John to be safe.
sperman
I think you would be OK, but as mentioned above, I would check with Amidon.
oak hill
I would bet it would be fine if not too radical, but as the others stated, best to get an official ruling 1st Keep us updated, pictures would be great
