razorfish
I noticed that that the CZ Custom has CNC cut aluminum magazine base pads in stock for $29.08 each. Expensive yes, but beyond looking really cool on the Shadows is there any compelling reason to use (or not use) these on a production gun?
Chris_C
Some of the plastic base pads are breakage prone if dropped on gravel or something like that. On the downside you have to make sure they don't put the gun over weight limit.

entropic
I've had some trouble with plastic base pads coming off during a reload, and all the mag guts and ammo pouring out the bottom of the gun. Probably user error, but it would be worth it if it fixed the issue.
