KyalSharpe
Hey guys, i am really struggling to find websites that have slide rackers to fit tanfoglios in stock. I am preferably looking for a sidewinder racking lever but anything in that style would be okay. If someone could point be in the right direction that would be great. (NOTE: The website needs to ship to Australia)
BeerBaron
Have a look at NVT (aus tanfog importers). from memory they sell the tanfoglio slide racker. in fact I looked it up. here you go: http://www.tanfoglio.com.au/p/131/slide-racker-pr026.html
kneelingatlas
As I remember the Tanfo Super Sight dove tail is roughly the same as a Bomar type so you should be able to get some 2011 Rackers to work.
george76904
If what I think is true the sidewinders have the same dovetail angle and they are the same size as the tangfolio sight cuts, so I think they should fit but I am about to try one anyway so I will let you know if it works. kneelingatlas
I have Tanfo slides with three different dovetail sizes (smallest to largest): super sight, standard steel, Match. Edited December 16, 2013 by kneelingatlas

They do fit, my dad has one on his gun. I just cant find anywhere to buy one. Think im either going to to get a cheely and bend it or make one, i will most likely make one. BeerBaron
Midway has sidewinders in stock... sadly they won't ship anything remotely gun related to Aus. stupid export laws. apparently recoil springs and stuff like slide rackers are weapons of mass destruction and must not be exported to dangerous places like our little convict colony... Kyal, sorry you tried that one already. I did admit to thinking that it looked a little bit short and fat. one option (if the dovetail cut allows this) is to move it to the right hand side of the gun? I've seen a few open guns like that (still right handed shooters) who find it gives more clearance if they are putting their thumb up on the safety with their strong hand, and also gives more room if you have a 90 degree optic mount as that really gets in the way of a LHS slide racker. it's still quite easy to rack the gun using your left hand with the racker on the right. people often naturally cant the gun over to the left which exposes the right side nicely anyway. Thats how it is at the moment, it really does not suit me. I can get the cheely racker, or i will just make one, leaning towards making one as i have access to a lathe ect
george76904
In which case I vote make one. I have acess to a machine shop and everything to make a slide racker to fit my dovetail but I am just too busy currently to give me time to make one. And over the holidays I Will be making base pads for my witness.
