Flexmoney
ducati, Does it feel faster, or do you have some timer data that proves it to be faster?
MikeFoley
Flex and Ducati, For me the 17 feels faster and more natural, but I shot the longer 34 and 35 when I was exclusively shooting Glocks in USPSA. I would also like to see time at a given distance between drawing and shooting two well placed alphas on each of two targets, then reloading and shooting 2 well placed alphas on the same two targets to be sure(checking draw, split, transition, and reload). This would have to be repeated several times before you could determine a difference. Your experience with a particular sight radius could be a factor too. I have always had faster 10 yard plate rack runs with the shorter guns, even the 26. I am starting to prefer the 17, but I haven't sold that 34 yet. chp5
I just like the way my G22 feels with major PF loads as compared to the G35. I sold the G35, so I can't do any specific tests to provide objective data though.
Batman
I started out with the 35 with a magwell the gun just didn't fit. I pulled out a 17 with a magwell the fit was better. No more 35. The 17 makes it to the match when I don't play with the 1911.
